
Leon Cherniavsky
Portfolio Manager/Chief Investment Officer
With nearly 30 years of Wall Street experience, Leon is a professional with extensive knowledge in financial markets, computer systems, market and credit risk analysis, and conventional counterparty risk.
As a Chief Investment Officer of Fleet Wealth Management Group, Mr. Cherniavsky is responsible for the firm's critical elements of the asset management process: research, methodology selection, data collection and analysis, prototyping, back-testing, risk-scaled product development, trading platform selection, transacting in capital markets, and performance monitoring.
During the last ten years, Mr. Cherniavsky developed and successfully implemented systematic and scalable trading strategies for equity and fixed-income products.
Leon started his career in financial services in 1985 with Swiss Bank. He was a credit analyst and a developer of analytical models for systematic and standardized credit scoring.
In 1993, Mr. Cherniavsky moved to Deutsche Bank and continued as a credit risk manager. He was in charge of evaluating derivatives and other capital market transactions, and also was responsible for Energy and Commodity portfolios.
After Deutsche Bank, Mr. Cherniavsky joined Citi Group as a senior vice president. He concentrated on analysis, approval, and risk management of capital market transactions for Energy, Commodity, Mortgage REIT's Hedge Fund client portfolios. He also advanced to credit due diligence and documentation, modeling, and stress testing of derivative portfolios.
